This canoe section is from the Vic Olsen Bridge on Tuchekoi Road, to the Traveston Crossing Bridge on Traveston Crossing Road. Here is where a dam is planned, construction to begin in 2008. Access is from the Bruce Highway, south of Gympie. Turnoff on the Kenilworth-Skyring Creek Road, and then into Tuchekoi road, signposted as going to Imbil.

The exit point is fifteen and a half kilometres away on Traveston Crossing Road, from the Bruce Highway. Alternatively, drive north across the Vic Olsen bridge, and join the Mary Valley Road and drive eighteen kilometres to Traveston Crossing Road.

The launch point is a steep liitle foottrack on the southern downstream side of Vic Olsen Bridge, right next to the bridge. From there it is twenty two kilometres to Traveston Crossing by river. At the finish, exit either side. The southern side offers an easy gravel track.

Important: The Mary River is a seasonal paddle. Check river height beforehand.
